This project focuses on turning an emerging gallery's exhibition history into a public archive that can actually be navigated. By structuring three years of exhibitions, artists, and works into a single depth-based system, we made the gallery's programme legible at a glance and searchable in detail.
Through this, we rebuilt a single introduction page into a living archive that grows with every exhibition, and added a guide section written to one fixed specification so that new writing can be added without redesigning anything.
기록이 곧 브랜드가 되는 갤러리 사이트
전시·작가·작품이라는 세 겹의 정보를 하나의 뎁스 구조로 정리해, 3년치 전시 이력을 한눈에 읽히면서 세부까지 찾아갈 수 있는 공개 아카이브로 만들었습니다. 전시장에서 찍힌 스냅 사진에서 작품 도판을 다시 세우는 일부터, 정보 구조와 시각 질서, 발행 체계까지 함께 설계해 갤러리의 기록이 스스로 쌓이도록 했습니다.
그 결과 소개용 한 장짜리였던 사이트를, 전시가 열릴 때마다 자라나는 아카이브와 하나의 고정 규격 위에서 글이 계속 얹히는 가이드 섹션으로 새롭게 구축했습니다.
To make three years of programming navigable, we gave every exhibition the same skeleton and let it open in layers — an overview that carries the curatorial argument, a works layer that holds the complete image set, and an artist layer that holds the interview in the artist's own words. Resolution increases as the visitor commits, and every exhibition since 2024 is built on the same template.
3층 구조의 전시 아카이브
3년치 전시를 탐색 가능하게 만들기 위해 모든 전시에 같은 골격을 주고, 소개·작품·작가라는 세 층위로 열리도록 설계했습니다. 소개에는 기획 의도를, 작품에는 전체 이미지를, 작가에는 작가 자신의 언어로 된 인터뷰를 담습니다. 관람자가 깊이 들어갈수록 정보의 해상도가 높아지며, 2024년 이후 모든 전시가 동일한 템플릿 위에 놓입니다.
This allows a visitor arriving from search to land on any layer and still know where they are. A work leads back to its exhibition, an exhibition leads to its artist, and the artist index gathers every interview in one place.
The archive therefore reads as a continuous record rather than a pile of separate announcements — each exhibition keeps its own page, and the whole keeps its order.
덕분에 검색으로 유입된 방문자가 어느 층위에 도착하든 자신이 지금 어디에 있는지 알 수 있습니다. 작품은 전시로, 전시는 작가로 이어지고, 아티스트 목록이 그 인터뷰들을 한자리에 모읍니다.
그래서 이 아카이브는 흩어진 공지의 더미가 아니라 하나의 연속된 기록으로 읽힙니다 — 전시마다 자기 페이지를 갖고, 전체는 순서를 잃지 않습니다.
The gallery handed over three years of photographs taken inside the exhibition room — posters, wall shots at an angle, visitors passing in front of the work, notes typed on a phone. None of it could be published as a plate.
We rebuilt each painting out of those snapshots: the frame squared, the perspective flattened, the room light and the passing shadows removed. What was the record of one evening became a reproducible image the archive could carry.

갤러리가 넘긴 자료는 3년치 전시장 사진이었습니다. 포스터, 비스듬히 찍힌 벽면, 작품 앞을 지나가는 관람객, 휴대폰으로 적어 둔 메모 — 그대로는 어느 것도 도판으로 쓸 수 없었습니다.
그 스냅에서 회화를 한 점씩 다시 세웠습니다. 화면을 직각으로 펴고, 원근을 평평하게 눕히고, 전시장 조명과 지나가는 그림자를 걷어냈습니다. 하룻저녁의 기록이 아카이브가 실을 수 있는 이미지가 되었습니다.
We designed the interface to behave the way the gallery itself does. Neutral surfaces, generous margins, and a single accent let the work carry all the colour. Typography stays quiet so that a painting, a poster, and an interview photograph can share one page without competing.
화이트큐브를 옮긴 디자인 시스템
인터페이스가 갤러리 공간처럼 작동하도록 설계했습니다. 중립적인 배경, 넉넉한 여백, 최소한의 강조색만 두어 색은 전적으로 작품이 갖게 했습니다. 타이포그래피는 조용히 물러나, 회화와 포스터와 인터뷰 사진이 한 페이지에서 서로를 방해하지 않고 놓입니다.
Components were unified so that a poster card, a work thumbnail, and a guide article card share one grid logic and one caption rhythm. The filters on the archive use the same control language as the tabs on an exhibition page.
The result is a system in which adding a new exhibition requires no design decisions — only content.
포스터 카드, 작품 썸네일, 가이드 아티클 카드가 하나의 그리드 논리와 하나의 캡션 리듬을 공유하도록 컴포넌트를 통합했습니다. 아카이브의 연도·유형 필터는 전시 상세의 탭과 같은 조작 언어를 씁니다.
그 결과 새 전시를 추가할 때 디자인 판단이 전혀 필요 없고, 콘텐츠만 넣으면 되는 체계가 되었습니다.
To keep the site alive between exhibitions, we added an art guide built on a single fixed specification. Every article opens with a bolded direct answer, carries a summary box, breaks into question-shaped headings, cites its sources, and closes with an FAQ — the same skeleton across all nine pieces, whatever the subject.
Because the format is fixed, new writing can be added without a single design decision, and the gallery keeps accumulating pages that answer real questions.
하나의 규격 위에 쌓이는 콘텐츠
전시와 전시 사이에도 사이트가 살아 있도록, 하나의 고정 규격 위에 세운 아트가이드를 만들었습니다. 모든 글이 볼드 직답 문단으로 열고, “한눈에 보기” 요약 박스를 지나, 질문형 소제목으로 갈라지며, 출처를 밝히고, FAQ로 닫습니다 — 주제가 무엇이든 아홉 편 전부 같은 골격입니다.
형식이 고정돼 있기 때문에 새 글을 얹을 때 디자인 판단이 한 번도 필요하지 않고, 갤러리는 실제 질문에 답하는 페이지를 계속 쌓아 갑니다.
Operators publish an exhibition by filling three pages, and readers get a stable path from a search result to an exhibition to an artist. This approach strengthens both the gallery's operating rhythm and the consistency of what a first-time visitor sees.
운영자는 세 개의 페이지만 채우면 전시 하나가 공개되고, 방문자는 검색 결과에서 전시로, 전시에서 작가로 이어지는 안정된 경로를 얻습니다. 갤러리의 운영 리듬과 처음 방문한 사람이 보는 화면의 일관성을 동시에 강화했습니다.
